Biography
Mr. Cavanagh earned his A.B. in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College in 2005. He was awarded his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law, magna cum laude, in May 2011. In law school, he was President of the Moot Court Board, a competing member of the Trial Team, a member of the Honors Program, and a recipient of the Harrison Tweed Award for the best brief at the 2011 New York City Bar Association's National Moot Court Competition. In the Esther Clark Moot Court Competition, he received awards for best oralist and for best brief.
Prior to attending law school, he played professional ice hockey in the German Regionalliga Hockey League for the Herne Blizzards en route to the team's record-setting, undefeated season and eventual league championship.
Mr. Cavanagh is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts state and federal courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
